:o really nice egyptian army theme!
I left my love a letter in the hollar of a tree.
I told her she would find me in the U.S. Cavalry.
High, yo, down they go, there's no such word as can't.
We'll ride clean down to hell and back for Ulysses Simpson Grant.

THEY LOOK WONDERFUL, MICHAEL!

As I'm sure that everyone knows, this is still my favorite historical era ... ;D

You have really done a great job with your dervishers!

Thanks for sharing and all the best,
Richard

MMMMMMMMMMMM Camels!  Did I ever say I have a thing about models of soliders on camels?  I did.  Not surprised I bore everyone about it!

I think we agree on that.

Now again a few on horseback. They are supposed to be any late 19th century russians (and maybe acceptable as such, too.)

Your russians are great! Very convincing!  ;D
Even the use of Lego is great, the small flags and lances work perfectly!

I know a chap who's a wargamer who bought back a bag of sand from Egypt when he went there on holiday ("How did you get it through customs?"  "No problem.  The guy was a wargamer too.  He understood.") as a result, his group wargamed Tel-el-Kebir on a sand table using sand from the actual battlefield.

Unfortunately I missed this opportunity when i was there a few years ago and took a few less interesting souvenirs with me instead.

To give you an impression I post a small picture (sorry for the poor quality) of the egypt forces.

Does anybody have 33 blue tassles left over?
