I think we agree on that.

Now again a few on horseback. They are supposed to be any late 19th century russians (and maybe acceptable as such, too.)

tell us...which parts are painted...LEGO flags too? and the black band around the peaked caps etc? (I've not noticed so much and this shade of green before or are the lights playing tricks on my eyes  ;D )

I know a chap who's a wargamer who bought back a bag of sand from Egypt when he went there on holiday ("How did you get it through customs?"  "No problem.  The guy was a wargamer too.  He understood.") as a result, his group wargamed Tel-el-Kebir on a sand table using sand from the actual battlefield.

Unfortunately I missed this opportunity when i was there a few years ago and took a few less interesting souvenirs with me instead.
