HM these are getting better & better.

There's a picture of General Gough on the wall above me as I'm typing this & the white coat can still be seen (or at any rate you could the last time I was there) at the National Army Museum in Chelsea.

Fortunately for Gough this was more true with regard to the sikhs than to the cs sharpshooters. ;D.   
I thought is was a nice gesture to his own troops anyway.

@leblancII: To make it more readable than I could write it down, I recommend http://www.britishbattles.com/first-sikh-war/ferozeshah.htm from a www-site which has all battles of the first sikh war (and of course some others, too. :))  During this war there were apart from the military events on both sides hidden agendas and intrigues that you will like.

Interesting customs of a time I dont really know henry Thank u henry for the great link to britishbattles.com . I recon there r more wars than I knew and I thought I should have known most of em.

I think I found better parts than the cs troopers to make the first khaki unit in history. They have now even 'indian' heads and hands.

i never knew what to do with those many yellow/red gardeners' straw hats....sparyed several black for navy tarred hats  ;D

sometimes i purposely use a different shade of blue cuffs(or neck-ties in your case) on a blue arm, just to bring out the color/contrast...maybe they will be more conspicuous to my aging eyes  :D

I bought the Christmas "Three Kings" set just to get the camel.

I want to make a soldier of the German Camel Corps in SW Africa http://www.gwpda.org/photos/camel01.htm.

I really like soldiers on camels.  I want to follow him with british & Indian camel soldiers as well.
