HELLO AGAIN FROM THE TROPICS
« on: September 09, 2006, 04:23:04 PM »
Hello again everyone ...

It's that time of year when, once again, I change avatar costumes ...  ::)

I've left my Mountie uniform in Canada, as I'm now back in the tropics.

So ... for now, I've donned my King Richard armour which was designed by Cap'n Henry!

As you can imagine, this is a very warm costume for the balmy breezes of Fort Lauderdale and the Virgin Islands. Perhaps, something a bit cooler would be nice ... ;)

Is anyone interested in helping me out with some ideas ... ???

As you can see from the photo, I look just like my avatar ... :)

Please post any ideas and pictures in this thread!

Thank you and all the best,
Richard

They do indeed, Fred ...  :D

How about some "tropical uniform" or "summer uniform" avatar ideas, Fred ... ???

All the best,
Richard

Thanks for the invitation, GaiusIulius ...

But, I thought that I would like to be warm for the winter ... ;)

So, I need a tropical uniform. Any ideas?

Thanks again and all the best,
Richard

Actually, Cheng, I was thinking of something a bit more like a bwana or a sahib ...  :D

You know ... khaki short sleeve shirt and khaki shorts with low boots and socks. And, maybe a Sam Browne belt to give the ensemble a military flair ... ;)

I guess, on occasion, I might also be persuaded to wear a topi or a sun helmet ... :)

Any other ideas , my friend... ???

All the best,
Richard

how about some bermudas richard? ;)
or wander the steps of a fellow famous literate island lover of urs (to whom u bare a certain resemblance ;)) and go for one of the tropic hats from the (old) safari theme.
khaki sounds very cool to me, maybe with short sleeves and a vest? a lot of possibilities there richard!   ;D

oh btw i would like to post some links to pics on the collectiable site which might help u get some ideas richard... but im not sure its legal  :-[ i am however sure u know that site anyway and its not really necessary for me to post the links  :D so just check the jungle and safari theme, also of course on the playmobil site's archive...
oh and one more thing... ever think of a leopard skin hat? like in the 3010 set? might be worth checking out although i personally think the tropic hat would look better  ;D

I left my love a letter in the hollar of a tree.
I told her she would find me in the U.S. Cavalry.
High, yo, down they go, there's no such word as can't.
We'll ride clean down to hell and back for Ulysses Simpson Grant.

Thanks, Flash ...

Great ideas !!!

Little Jo (over at PF) is working on an avatar idea that's very similar to what you have suggested.

Thanks again for your ideas.

All the best,
Rchard

Little Jo (Jochen) over at PF created this new  "tropical" avatar which I can use when I'm in the Caribbean. However, I will also be able to use it when I'm in Canada !!!

I thought that I'd try out the "beta" version for awhile ... :)

What do y'all think?

I really like what I can see of it, especially the combination of that more casual-looking hairpiece with the beard. :)

When do we get to see the whole figure? I'm very curious to see what else you are wearing. ;D
JustForKl!cks has had a make-over! Come and check out the new look site! :)
