one would need quite a thin and soft/flexible masking tape for surfaces that are not flat or the spray might seep underneath

I like your southern artillery. Please explain me how you have build them. Is it only a simple blue body which you have painted?

Im interested in ur spraying tools cheng. Am I right in saying that u dont have a 'real' spraying tools with air and stuff...and u use some kind of 'ready to spray' color?

hey Bennain & GaiusIulius....
in my books, you two are among the masters in customising...
i will just say what i did rather than give instructions  :D

Bennain,
in fact i was planning to pass these grey legs with red stripes to my royal artillery(napoleonics)....anyway, yes, i used those plain blue bodies...and added the buttons & belts
(someday these plain bodies are going to run out and we have to pay more for those beautifully painted 'modern' bodies, just to have to wipe off the original printing  :-\ )

right, GaiusIulius,
i never invested in an air gun...too expensive...and too troublesome...nowadays there's such a wide selection of 'ready' color sprays available off-the-shelf....and for PM....we dont have to be that accurate with colors   ;D excuses excuises  :P

Cheng, here at GW ... YOU, my friend, are indeed the "master of the spray can" ...
Your spray painting skills are incredible !!!

It's too bad that you won't try an airbrush. I think that you would be absolutely fantastic with that as well as the spray can !!!

All the best,
Richard

Its the mix of uniforms, soldiers not in uniform, beards and whiskers that makes it so good.  It would be so easy to have them all looking the same just because "they're soldiers and should look the same" (when, of course, they never did).

I told her she would find me in the U.S. Cavalry.
