« on: July 01, 2005, 01:32:08 PM »
Hi out there!

We are quite a lot of foolish kids here!
I am impressed to browse through this forum.

Customizing seems to be "en voge"
Wonderful work, anyone of you!
Beautiful soldiers, splendid vessels, Great!!!! :D

Is there anyone like me, addicted to the original "down to earth" klicky, I mean without augmentations?

Allways looking for things, and eager to trade!

Martin

Yes! I still love my "original" klickys!

My favourites are the Medieval and the Pirates figures! There is a wonderful charm about these old klickys that for some reason seems to be missing in the new figures ...

All of my Playmobil collection is currently in a big truck that is coming to our home in Canada. Soon, I will be able to take some fotos to share with everyone ... :)

All the best,
Richard

Welcome Martin!

Your horse guards are terrific. I agree with Garvannec, and would like to see photos of some more of your 5000 men! How do you store them?

I also like the unaugmented klicky. With the exception of Capt. Barbosa, none of my customs use painting or modeling - they are simply new combinations of standard parts. (I love to see what others are doing with paint and milliput, and stand in awe of their talents, it just isn't how I work.)

Storing the troup

Thanks for the very warm welcome,

and thank you for encouraging me in building more to my army.

To answer the question about where I store my men:
In wooden cases, each one contains 21 (one captain, 20 soldiers)
of course standing and ready to parade  :D

What are your solutions to keep your klickys from uv-rays (they seem to be pretty dangerous for the material)

I'd love to see what those boxes look like - and if you have 5000 men that is still almost 250 boxes! Wow!

Oh, I'm a bit late on this thread, but nevertheless: Welcome Martin!!

Good to see you posting here.

I marvelled your mass of troops in Speyer already.

As I was told by the guy who build the troops on the other side of the room there in Speyer, you are the one who would maybe interested in a large scale playmo battle against his frenchmen?
