Great rendition of the Texas Lancers from the ACW, Michael!

After having lived in Texas for more than thirty years, I can assure you that this is probably exactly what they looked like. Their uniforms definitely would have been as you have shown them with your wonderful Playmobil figures. They would have indeed been wearing remnants from the Mexican war, civilian (cowboy) clothes and some bits and pieces of Confederate uniforms.

Do you know the history of the Texas Lancers and their charge?

There's an interesting post at the Hät Forum ... Click HERE!

Thanks for another very creative Playmobil custom, Michael!

All the best,
Richard

hey Michael !
good to see some more of your customs!

and again, i fall for those Lego flags and lances  ;D
and your use of 'old' type horses  ;)
those peaked caps..
and turkish-like flag...
what a beautifully assembled 'rowdy' team

and Richard,
i had a mouthful of questions for Michael until i read your link to U hat...
youre always the person to anticipate/field all my 'ignorant' questions  ;D

so only 1 question for Michael.....was the conferate wearing a union jacket supposed to be a defector or was he wearing a dead-northerner's shirt?  :P

Of course a thank you to you aswell Richard, for providing your link!  ;D
I left my love a letter in the hollar of a tree.
I told her she would find me in the U.S. Cavalry.
High, yo, down they go, there's no such word as can't.
We'll ride clean down to hell and back for Ulysses Simpson Grant.

@ all: thank you  :)

@ richard: I did not know too much about this unit before. I found the pictures on the www and they suggested their implementation as a pm set.

That's a tragedy :P.

Thank you very much for the information, Richard. Any more always welcome.

@cheng: Let's say, the person in question grabbed the lance in melee and tries to get away now ;)
I like the old horses, because they can 'run' in different gaits while the newer always trot.

@ geobra: Thanks a lot!!! :-)

Nice ones henry , I fear u even used Lego parts for ur customs  :o, but the result justifies that  :D . I didnt even know they had lancers in ACW...I never saw them in a movie.
