i said "... i wasnt aware of the exisitence of you experts....(when i first signed up)" dangerous to truncate someones statement...i do that sometimes too :D

Hello, Cheng ...

Click on the foto above of David's hussar and then scroll down to "March-April-May 2004 Figure of the Quarter" for the "correct link" to all the other fotos of David's hussar.

Sorry about the "truncating" ... ;)

All the best,
Richard

No gentlemen he`s not a hussar, but a Chasseurs a Cheval. Here is a hussar! ( I agree the uniforms do seem similar). :D

David

I made this one years ago.

Thanks a lot for the kind words on his 'majesty's new clothes' krystal and Foulques :D

The hussar done by David is splendid. As a french-soldier-builder I should know, but I cannot remember so please David: Which hussar regiment does this colonel command?

I wish I could do leopard skin shabraques as good as you can :(

First EsDoc, sorry for posting the hussar in your thread. I don`t know what I was thinking.
He is `Colonel de Hussars de 6éme Régiment 1809.` I  got that from the Metal Modeles catalogue which I used for reference. :-)

I can`t tell you exactly how I painted the leopard`s spots, but it`s basically an irregular circle of very dark brown, sometimes with a lighter spot near  the middle. The edges of the skin are pale getting darker further from the edge. I used artists acrilic for this because there is such a large range of colours.

If we've got the Kaiser how about George V in Admiral's uniform to go with him?

It is a wondeful figure.
