By request - My Rifleman
« on: October 21, 2006, 01:20:17 pm »
I posted these some time ago and the pictures have now been deleted.
However, I have been asked for copies so here they are.

Thanks for reposting the photos of your splendid rifleman, Dan ...

Unfortunately, we lost a lot of pictures when we upgraded our Forum!

I hope that everyone will take the time, as you did, to repost their missing pictures.

Thanks again and all the best,
Richard

I hadn't realised it was the upgrade that caused it Richard, I thought the forum automatically deleted pictures after a certain number of days.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy them again.

Cheng, the second conversion (solider of the 71st Highland Light Infantry of the same period) is nearing completion.

Apart from that, what I've mostly been doing is painting the shields of some knights with English medieval heraldry.  I'll post some pics of those to be going on with.

Hi Dan,
Thanks for posting this rifleman Dan and sorry for taking so long to respond.  He looks even better in the larger pictures.  You seem to have modified a sword and given him a new plume, very effective. I like the authenticlooking belt buckle. How did you make the ammo pouch?

If I´m not mistaken, he´s a rifleman of the 60th foot at the time of the Napoleonic Wars.

  A great custom!

 Very nice images kaisergarde

It`s the same uniform, but a different regiment. These images show the 95th foot, the most famous rifle regiment. I think Dan was trying to be a bit more original by customising another rifle regiment.  ;)

Thanks for the kind comments.  The ammo pouch is simply an oblong bit of wood with one edge rounded off slightly and a paper cover glued over it.

You're right that he's from the 60th Rifles not the 95th.  That's not only to be a bit different but because my wife is a "Sharp" fan & I've had it up to here with the 95th!

Kaisergarde, where did you find that great chart of riflemen's uniforms?

Oh! Very clever. I´ve done the same sort of thing with Milliput.

LOL  He´s tall isn`t he? Lots of blonde hair? Tough, but kind hearted and probably likes animals.

They fall for it everytime Dan

Pass the peroxide and where are my stilts? ;)
