1918 Playmo Float Plane

Hi Richard,
Here are some pictures of the Playmo scale Hansa Brandenberg 29 as
requested.  It just needs a prop and some interesting WW1 paint job.
Two more pictures on the way.

That's a fantastic model, Jimbo !!!

You've built a really cool float plane. The flipped rudder is rather unique. Wonder if it had any advantages of other empennage configurations?

Are you going to use the "lozenge" camouflage scheme?

Thanks for the encouragement!  The lozenge paint job is my first choice....we'll
see what happens. ;D  I don't know why the inverted rudder...maybe a clear
field of fire aft for the gunner......our early aero engineers tried some interesting
designs for sure!

Jimbo,

I remember painting a lozenge camouflage scheme many years ago. Honest to God, I really think it was easier to paint a Black Watch tartan on a miniature highlander.

Today, I'd probably cheat and use my computer to make a lozenge pattern that could be applied like a decal or a sticky label.

I'm really looking forward to see what you do.

Thanks for the encouragement,all.  I plan to spray paint the plane one color,
then hand (brush) the details.....looking for the right lozenge pattern to put on
the wings and tail surfaces.

These are my two favorites for German Naval float planes or flying boats ...
(Which seem to be hexagon rather than lozenge patterns,)
