A bunch of sets from the times between 1740 and 1760, from Fontenoy to Plassey, from the French and Indian War to Prussia vs. Austria.

There are different ways to deal with the trousers/gaiters-problem. I really like the toy-like approach.

Ralf, what you refer to as 'toy-effect' is nostalgic...like kids or dolls wearing those leg warmers that ends like socks  ;)

i'm quite curious about those units wearing those fur caps (Grenadiers à cheval.) and the other unit wearing those soft caps...can you share some prints/drawings/links with us?

..and thanks for showing these beautiful cavalry units...I'm not familiar with them at all.

thanks for the links Ralf!
these caps (drawings) are very very unusual.....and I salute your skill as always in portraying these using genuine parts...and I've learnt some more European history today!  :)

Ralf, everyone knows that you have created your beautiful sets from available Playmobil parts. And, we all know that we could easily recreate your marvelous toy soldiers by simply disassembling the correct Playmobil figures and reassembling them using what you've created as an example. Yet, if I were to go into a toy shop and see your boxed sets of Playmobil toy soldiers, I know that I could not resist buying each and every one of them.

Ralf, once again you have magically transformed Playmobil into something that's incredibly fantastic !!!

Thank you very much my friend,
Richard
