russians and prussians
« on: October 18, 2011, 10:29:00 AM »
First a few russians. Nothing really new but the new legs fit just nicely for napoleonic foot and leg ware.

@ geobra: Thanks a lot!!! :-)

Love your Prussian Landwehr. Michael!

Where are the "new legs" from on your Russians?

Thanks for the information, Michael!

4127 looks like a great set. It's full of wonderful customizing pieces!  ... :)

thanks for sharing Micheal!

...btw regarding your Prussian Landwehr,
how did you hang the http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showpart.pl?partnum=30+24+7320 clip? and did you cut this iron cross from a sticky metal foil sheet? very difficult to get it symmetrical ;)

it is just put in atm, I am considering to glue a short rod inside of the crossbelt

and did you cut this iron cross from a sticky metal foil sheet?
I got the impression that these crosses were white, not metal. Maybe I am wrong. I cut it from the left over of a star wars sticker sheet.

Yes it is,  but since it is removable it can easily be replaced if a more symmetrical solution is at hand.
@ geobra: Thanks a lot!!! :-)

Prussian Landwehr cavalry

Actually the prussian implementation of cossaks. Employed en masse and with varying success.

Before I get remarks about symmetry: Tweaking my rules again I cut these crosses to replace the old stickers with new ones. I am still searching for a more regular pm- and toy-like solution but I assume for the time being that their crosses might have been not to regular too as they were enlisted in a hurry and had all cheap equipment that was available.  ;D

Needless to say that all inspiration is owed to specialist's 100 days thread.  :)
