100 DAYS
« on: March 27, 2011, 03:26:27 PM »
Napoleonic soldiers made of original parts is a complicated thing to do. In this thread I want to show my efforts to solve the problem.

First of all French Cuirassiers and Carabiniers:

Superb cuirassiers, Ralf!  You've made excellent use of the Roman parts and they look magnificent using all Playmobil parts! :)

Hi Rlaf,
What hats are you representing with those Prussian infantry? ???
I do not recognize them.

Great figures though! ;D 8)

Excellent looking Prussians, Ralf. :)  Where are the cavalry's torsos from?

I believe it is an old Western set.

Great find, WarriorOfToys! :)

Thanks, but I already knew about this part from previous searches for it.
It is just not practical for soldiers (in my opinion) because the rest of the figure doesn't really work.
You would have to, as Ralf has done,
Add parts from perhaps multiple other figures.

Very cool! ;D
I did not know people from these regions fought in the Napoleonic wars.
I love your use of the pirate shirt for their uniform. 8)  :o

every set a gem, Ralf  :)

your clever use of only PM parts, especially those old ones we no longer can get our hands on, is really wonderful

...it makes me worry a bit about my customs  :P which are getting further and further from our simple and cute nostalgic playmos (it is this simplicity of the redcoat which attracted me in the first place, having collected plastic scale models for a long time...and you have extended these themes while preserving those properties, das ingenius!)

Magnificent sets! :o
If these were real I would buy a few... ;D
Let me guess,
The first is either Prussian, or English, correct?
Is the second set French? :)
