Hello all,

In this topic I will present my progress in developing my mid-18th century British army!

To start.....

On the Belgian countryside, a British company of light infantry seeks refuge at a farmhouse.

The major asks the old farmer if he and his men are allowed to spend the night on his courtyard, while his men wait behind him.

Here are two types of militant support troops for my army:

1. Coureurs du bois (french trappers, operating in the new world)
2. A British sharpshooter militiaman (notice his long musket)

The next picture shows a wall in my hobby room (the place where my armies are stationed!)

I will post detailed pictures of each level as soon as the individual regiments are finished (the only thing I still need to finish off is the uniformstickers, but working on it!)

Each level in the vitrine houses 3 companies of a regiment (10 men each).

The levels contain:
1. British 17th foot (including company of Grenadiers)
2. British 64th foot
3. British 71st foot (including company of Highlanders)
4. British 16th light dragoons
5. British Royal artillery + British militia + British light infantry
6. Austrian infantry (including company of Grenadiers)
7. French regiment du Navarre (including company of Grenadiers)
8. French regiment du Normandy
9. French Dragoons du Reine
10. French artillery royale + Woodland indians / Coureurs du Bois

Hello, Marco ...

Your farm house diorama is magnificent ... ...

And I love your Coureurs du bois from the North American French and Indian War!

Thank you for sharing,

did you just move into this new home?! I do like your idea & shelf display of all those various regiments (I'm moving in that direction too, with smaller and smaller representations/numbers) but on the otherhand, you have space to even build dioramas  ;) ENVY ENVY & my respect!!  :)
may I see your 71st Highlander up close? I would like to make a small unit of 4 someday if GB doen't make a bagpiper special soon  :D

A very nicely executed diroama, and I love the Highlanders and the Trappers.
