Horse bending - Cavalry / light dragoons
« on: January 29, 2010, 04:37:14 PM »
Hello all,

Here something new: I tested my bendingskills on some of the horsenecks of my British cavalry squadron. tell me what you think, I think it breaks the staticness of the group of horses.

I can tell you that 8 out of 9 horses were moderated, who knows which one NOT!?

Hello there!
your pictures are quite small but let me guess...only the nearest horse's (the one in grey) neck was not 'bent'...
I think you have the neck(can't help the pun  ;D ) to bend these....so do you think you'll like to try bending them sideways (to turn to their left or right)...it might not be acceptable to some playmo-lovers but I think they will look even more realistic and add variety like you did here  ;)

Here a few detailed pictures...

All horses have their neck put back maximum for comparison, the horse in the back was not on the first 2 pictures and is an uncustomized one.

The pictures 1-4 were hardest as I had to heat up the thickest part of the chin/neck area....

thanks..I couldnt have correctly guessed  :P

ok...I see those bent sideways look good even when lowered...looking as though they are being very observant while feeding in case an enemy shows up  :D

well done!! now perhaps your next challenge is to bend the playmo elephant's neck?   ;D
