These look great!

Your ronin, though, could just as easily be called a samurai.  Actually, he looks pretty well groomed and well-dressed to be a wandering ne'er-do-well.

....BTW...there's a new Asian head with unshaven chin in the 2009/2010 catalog....so if my wandering ronin does not find a master by 2010...I'll have to behead his clean face and stick this new one for him

How many Japanese figures have you now?  Ever thought of doing a scene with all of them in it?  (Maybe a couple of bonsai trees in the background too...)

and Dan....I've kept all my playmos in cartons (my shelves are down and the room is being painted....over a couple of 'free' Sundays....I work on Saturdays 

and I think I have maybe 8 of those western trained Japanese troopers wearing kepis for a Last Samurai enacment 

I dont have any bonsai(s) but the new red temple 'arch' and chinese roof from the 2010 zoo sets will be fantastic for backgrounds!

Heh, hey Cheng, in the early 1900s, Czar Nicholas of Russia visited Japan.  He visited a shrine, botched a courtesy, and a samurai shoved him or took a swing at him.  In another episode, a pair of samurai disarmed a 10-man (or so) Russian guard detachment to show their contempt for the soldiers' firearms and training.

Give us Czar Nicholas getting the boot from a man in a kimono!
