Custom shields for Medieval theme

I've been designing some custom shield for my Medieval knights. I will make some English & Flemish knights and some crusaders.

Which shields do you like most?

I really like them all, DD, but I'm not sure I like the grey circles around the edges of some of them.

Well we have bought some of them in a german merchant stand at Vinay meeting. Did you made too crusaders shields with cyprian armories?

Just a few critics, the two second numbers of third and four series with cross and lion aren't very close to blason rule, the two last are quite strange for the same rule especially the one with carinthian arms in a round circle. The other with lions is beautiful and convincing for armories in book but not in a simple shield.

Is it possible too made the two shields with cosmic cross in yellow for kingdom of Jerusalem? In red it's more colour of franciscan order.

Thx for your feedback Foulques !!! To be honest, when designing the shields I cared less about historical correctness. I just started designing and saw where my creativity took me 

Can you tell me why these shields aren't very close to blason rule, so that I can learn  Actually I modeled one like a picture of a shield I found on the internet. Can you show a picture of a yellow cosmic cross for kingdom of Jerusalem? Is this like the attached cross?

By accident do you have a link of all kind off crosses and their meaning?

I haven't many documentation here and I don't know english or german books, so one shield in two parts with a top and lower are quite strange and rare.

For Jerusalem arms you can put your two first shields in yellow and it's good.

So I don't have many time now but we could see that after, I have some suggestions.

@ Foulques: Thx for the link. Just had a look at it and there's really some interisting stuff I can use !!! Just found out that I also have a Dutch book related to heraldry in my private library  .

About the yellow background for the Jerusalem arms: now the background is white, but when printed on transparent decals and put on a yellow background it will have the Jerusalem effect, right? I attached some samples. Is this more likely

OK, I think I understand what you meant. Found the Jerusalem coat of arms at wikipedia. Now, what I have read in my book of heraldry is that some people think that initially the cross was red, but that the red paint dissapeared in time, so that the gold became visible. This would explain a lot, because it's against heraldic rules to put color on color and metal on metal. The Jerusalem coat of arms like you mention is a gold cross on a silver background.

Unfortunately the French version doesn't show a picture of the shield divisions. I attached the English version

good job! I don't know that jerusalem cross were primly red, today is the franciscan cross who keep holy places for catholics in Israel.
