...this friend who is a master model maker/engineer can make it in limited quantities for me and then make the shells. ... (snip) ... If it works, we could also make an even bigger barrel with bigger spring to represent a heavy gun.

Please tell your friend that there may be a few of us on this forum who might be very interested in helping to finance his efforts ... ;)

Interesting thread!

Haven't yet had the time to read through all the posts, but when I did so one question crossed my mind: How about reducing the playmo-guns caliber? This can easily be done (I know german board member funky has done so for almost every playmo gun that's available), while the gun is still able to shoot. OK, one cannot use the original ammo any more, but instead use small lead balls (originally intended as curtain-weights) of the right caliber.

I haven't tried this myself yet, but I assume that the long range fire would become more efficent while the overall range of the gun would be a bit shorter (major advantage is, that you would never run out of ammo ;) ).

Besides, I suppose even canister fire would be possible at short range ...

Hello,

I found three old Play Big  :( Guns in my collection. They have a strong spring and firing very exactly. They firing 6mm plasicbullets you can buy for softair guns in play- or sportshops. The old Playmobil artellerie gun can use these bullets too. Try to make a foto. See more next.

Good Bye

Hello, es_jedi!

Thanks for the fotos!

The PlayBig cannon could use some customizing ... Maybe a bullet shield like the Britains cannon below would help ... ;)

click on image above for more fotos of cannon

Thanks again and all the best,
Richard
