caps & hats has always been the key thing to my customs...i had wanted to do this long ago but didnt because i wouldnt allow myself to do any irreversible like cutting/drilling.

well cheng they look fantastic  . The Zouves are always a very interesting theme to customize. My special interest goes to the feet of ur men. Those white things above the shoes (they r called Gamaschen in German but I dont know the english word) ho do u build them?

@Michael: well, the owl was wondering "did cheng make is this fourth night-cap for me?!"
(I made an extra cap in case one of them got spoilt when  drilling 1 cm long holes for inserting the tassels)

...i was hoping some members might have some more interesting answers to "what did the owl say?"

i cut it just at the knot so that i could leave the other part on my flags...had to drill almost to the other surface to accomodate the long tassel rope...so there's no way it can drop out on its own (unlike those pom poms & feathers which drop off easily from those tricornes
