Hi all,

I’m a new member from Southern California and it’s great to discover a message board such as this.  Like many of you, I’ve always been interested in military history and toy soldiers.  As a boy growing up in the ‘80s, I had a few knight and pirate sets.  Unfortunately my parents have since thrown them out.  I still, however, have a fair number of cavalry, cowboy, and Native American figures and sets.

My current primary interest, however, is the new Romans.  I’ve been fortunate enough to build up a small army of legionnaires and the blue Roman warriors, which will be my Praetorian Guards.  I’ve also amassed a small group of Viking and Barbarian figures which will serve as Rome’s enemies.  Sadly, the Roman sets are not yet available here and the wait until August is unbearable!  (If anyone knows how to currently obtain these sets at a reasonable price, please, please let me know!)  I can’t wait to acquire these to complete my armies.

I look forward to perusing the forums here and contributing when I can.  Thank you.

Richard

I left my love a letter in the hollar of a tree.
I told her she would find me in the U.S. Cavalry.
