secret photo of FEF troops

Another photo that i have made last year with these awful Digital camera which i have already used for the photo of my french cavalry. The quality is bad but the picture shows the "heart" of my army.

OK thats easy. The redcoats are french soldiers. They belong to the French Expedition corps. Later in my story the French European Federation (FEF) will send them on the american continent than the conflict escalate. The gouverment of the UNA refuses every national colour for the corps and  every kind of heavy units. So for this mission the french troops must change their traditional uniform colour from blue to red.
Another reason is that the UNA uniform is although blue. They wanna to prevent the civilians population`s confusing one army with the other

 :o WOW now thats a real a sizeable army you have on the field. How many are actually there? By the way the photo still looks nice. ;)

The first line is the light company: 100 men
The second line is three rows deep and is composed out of 2 Musketeer companys: each 100 men
the third line is the "grenadier" company with the flagbearer and his guard: 100 men

summary: 400 men

Each company has
1 captain,
1 first luitenant,
4 second luitenant,
4 "Fähnriche" (i don`t know the english word for this rank)
1 company-Flagbearer
1 drummer
8 sergeants
8 corporales
72 privates

the bataillon has 10 company`s. three elite company`s (voltigeure, Flanquers, grenadiere) and seven musketeer company`s. Until today there are four company`s ready. In the next 2 years i will finish the other six. At the end: 1000 men. (A regiment has three bataillons :P).

Ohh boy. Each company costs with all equipment 240,- €.  ::)

And there are 8 other regiments which want to be finish soon.

Seems to me you have got quite a lot of soldiers!
If you need help with spare parts - just ask.....
I am up to building another sevenhundretsomething -there should be some spare parts for you 
 :D

I´m looking forward to post more pictures of my FEF bataillon. I still wait for the Eagle Stickers to put it on 400 Tschakos  :P. I have  already seen some examples of it and i promised you: it will be look great. The eagle symbol  of the FEF is my own creation. The light, heavy and line infantery will get their own unit symbols which will be printed on the eagle. When the work is done i will post immediately some pictures.
