Hello - another from New Mexico !

Hello all!
Ive been looking around here for some time, and decided that this was for me!
I got my first set of playmobil knights in 1976 (still have some bits of them)
.......And I have enjoyed them ever since then....
I have also been fortunate to have had the chance over the years to buy them for my kids (ages 19 yrs to 16 months) .... so have a few always laying about..
NOW i have more of a reason/excuse to buy them for ME again!

anyways..this will be my first foray into the world of customizing...
im looking at making a large squad of British 2nd Boer war soldiers...
i want to use as much real playmobil as possible.....
so i ask the experts for advise, pics, suitable body types, etc etc...
 ..i have been looking at most all the sites available...and the level of work is outstanding!!! (richard those HIGH styled pith helmets you made, maybe just the ticket!!!)

Again thanks for any any ideas part numbers etc....

If you are looking for part numbers, a good place to start is www.playmodb.org, Heather's wonderful online parts database. If you cannot find what you are looking for there, just ask, as I am sure someone here will have the info you need.

A BIG welcome from St.Thomas in the United States Virgin Islands ...

This summer (after June), I'll be back on Vancouver Island where I have all my "colonial" Playmobil. Please remind me and I will send you a copy of the helmet (topi) for you to use to make some of your own.
