The Tourney
« on: July 09, 2008, 04:10:37 AM »
Last year I downloaded this game, The Tourney, and played it a couple of times.  I bookmarked the site, but I cannot locate the site owner as I have a question about the game I had not encountered before.  My 2 games were between foot fighters and I was reading about mounted combat...

In the section 'Capture a Foe', the second paragraph states "If the Knight has a horse on the field then you may take the Horse captive as well."

In the next section 'Capture a Horse', it states:  "Capturing a horse in this way is dishonorable, and causes you to lose a point of honor."

So, if I do combat and as a resualts I capture my foe.  Can I include his horse as a capture without losing a honor point?

I understand about the action points and additional followers such as a squire and soldiers

Should anyone want to play this game, try to find the Knight's Tounament set #3287 for the dividing wall between jousting knights.  Also you can get the #4177 Knight Carrying Case and or set #7763 Knight's Weapons.

Please, if you know whose site this is, please contact him for me and pass on my question.  Thanks,

da Hugh

I just crossread the rules and have never played the game.

It seems to me that it is only dishonorable to capture horses that are unattended, because their knight was taken prisoner by another player or has dismounted and went more than 2 inches away. So you will not have to be concerned about your honour if you take the horse of a knight you just defeated as well. But to be sure that a player with lesser moral standards does not lay his hands on it you need a hireling to lead it away instantly.
