Hi and Hello from Hamburg
« on: March 12, 2007, 11:08:49 AM »
Hello,

at the age of 10 I stayed with my parents on Malta for 2 years. My dad worked as an part time advisor at the Playmobil factory and one day he brought home some 20 yellow and green (naked) clickys, all with black hair.

No tools, nothing but since that day I was infected by the Playmobil virus. I played with them till I was 16 (that was in 1978) but never sold any of them. My favorite was the Western theme and one day, much older, I saw that they had gotten moveable hands - something I always wanted back then....

In 1996 my son was born and in 1998 my daughter - what a chance to get the old stuff out and to buy lots more!

Being in Germany I am right at the source and the shops (and supermarkets and even gas stations!) are always full of goodies and broschures and advertisement.

We, well I was into the Vikings and when finally last year the Romans hit the shops my son and I played a lot, constructing, setting up - however we felt that something was missing - which we found here: an instruction to 'real' gaming', like chess or so,  with rules.

I really like your homepage and the set up - I never imagined how many 'playmobil crazy' people are out there - all over the world!

(At a certain stage I'll need to sell old stuff however (a space problem) and will concerate on the Romans and their enemies, which will be vikings however with no horns on their helmets...;-)

Keep up the good work.
kind regards from Hamburg
Carsten

hello  Carsten, its nice to have an other German member in here  :) :)!!
Im from Düren (between Cologne and Aachen) and believe me there r hundreds of crazy playmobil fans out there, but unfortunally few r 'organized' in forums. I look forward to see ur Romans and especially the enemies which is a very interesting theme I want to bother with too. So a warm welcome to the forums!

Hi Carsten! A big welcome from cologne up to u in the north  ;D
I left my love a letter in the hollar of a tree.
I told her she would find me in the U.S. Cavalry.
