Well..... we usually have medieval battles, so we use klickies from the knights theme. But we are not sticklers, in fact my son has some pirates that are usually allied with his knights as well as barbarians.
I collect mostly pirates - I like to customize ships and crews and do not have to worry about coming up with 50 klickies the same in order to form a historical regiment!
And the other day we had a most interesting battle: cops vs. robbers. I made up about a dozen or so bad guys and we used motorcycles, helicopters, cars, planes, even the tour bus. Much carnage and great hilarity ensued!
