The figures are "standard" but I have repainted the shields with coat of arms of real knights.

First, Sir John Chandos an English hero of the Hundred Years War.

Sir John D'Arbernon, not a famous warrior but his memorial brass is the oldest in England.

John De Vere - Earl of Oxford.  The first coat of arms I learned to recognise (because the Oxford Arms pub was at the end of our street!)

Sir Richard Scrope, he got into a famous court case with another knight over who had the right to use this shield.  Scrope won!

Wow they are wonderfull, i love the shields you have made. The colors, the shapes, WE WANT DETAILED PHOTOS OF THEM!!!!!!

Your medieval shields are beautiful, Dan!

The splendid paintwork is reminiscent of the old toy soldier master, Richard Courtenay (http://www.knightsofavalon.com/courtenay.htm)!

Richard Courtenay's (http://www.knightsofavalon.com/courtenay.htm) miniature knights are famous throughout the world of toy soldier collectors!

Not sure if you know this.... but if you click on the small thumbnail images, they will open at a much larger size.
This should help you see them in closer detail.  :)
