MAGNIFICENT !!!
Are you going to create more of your beautiful customs from the Byzantine Empire, Panos?
I hope so, because they're wonderful !!!
Thanks and all the best,
Richard
-
Thanks for your kind words Richard.
Byzantine times is a very inspiring theme and involves many armies
so I will try to create more of the byzantine troops.
I will add some fantasy to the historical research so some of the byzantine troops may look like these:

hi panos, some very nice customs there and a very interesting if yet often neglected time period! more pls! ;D
-
Thanks Flash
I often wonder why this period is neglected? It sure offers many civilizations/armies/themes opportunities.
I sure have seen many armies here that can fight my Byzantines lol
Cant wait to see Ralf getting involved ;-)
Here are some imperial guards
suggestions remarks are as always welcome ;-)

Wonderful custom. What about a civil war: West-roman-empire against east-roman-empire?
-
Then I would need Gaius great army and mine is not strong enough yet ;-)
Maybe my heavy Kataphraktoi will help me?
-
Great! ;D
-
The kataphract's shield is amazing. How did you do it?
-
Then I would need Gaius great army and mine is not strong enough yet ;-)
but ur men are beautiful, mayb my Romans will throw away their weapons ;)
-
Thanks my friends
Gaius said: but ur men are beautiful, mayb my Romans will throw away their weapons
Gaius in that case then we could play board games: Astragalos, Tali & Tropa (Knucklebones), Tesserae (Dice), Latrunculi (Roman Chess) , Terni Lapilli ( Tic-Tac-Toe), Tabula (Roman Backgammon) ;-)
@Dan the icon shield is a decal picture of 1/72 byzantine army magnified and then printed in label adhesive paper ;-)
Does anyone have any idea what better paper can we use?
I want a more glossy look like playmobil shields
Best regards

fantastic shields, did u spray or paint the shield of the bowman?
-
Grand creations!!
They are really creative and ingenious, I am charmed with them!
Wherefrom do shields come?
-
Thank you my friends,
For Gaius and all that wonder,
The Velisarius amd Italian shields are both of Revel warriors of the World toy figures,
I only have a good eye for detail and transform them with playmobil shield handles.
Guess i am not a politicaly correct customizer lol
Cheers

Time for some byzantine desert enemies:
-
There are some of the best things I have seen in a long while - I loved the Rus coming down the river to trade (or perhaps join the Varangian Guards) and the background pictures make it all so much better.
