nice, Bennain!
i have been looking towards seeing some napoleonic customs using bearskin hats
and i'm always envious of you guys owning any of those picklehaubes :)
more! 8)

Nice figures, Bennain ...
The German really looks just like what probably almost everyone would imagine what a Prussian officer should look like ... :)
And, Cheng, you can make your own pickelhauben ... All of those on the top shelf were "home manufactured" ...

All the best and thanks for sharing, Bennain,
Richard

We all know that problem, Bennain ... (http://www.gardenwargamer.com/images/grins.gif)

It's great to see the different looks that can be achieved through parts swapping. It takes a good eye and a lot of imagination to do this well, and you have certainly done a very nice job with these soldiers. :D
My favourite is the second "gardist", but then I always seem to fall for those klickies with the sideburns. I don't know what it is about them!

well they do say women love men in uniform and i guess those "gentleman" side burns just add to the "magic" ;)
great customs bennain and a very nice collection richard! :D
-
Another experiment from me. In my opinion it looks to original like a figure from an official set. :D

Here a link to my gallery in the german board:

Here is a new custom from me.
When I was young, I saw in german television a series which called "Sandokan - Der Tiger von Malaysia" (Sandokan - The Tiger of Malaysia). I think it was at the end of the seventies in 1977 or 1978.
This series have had fascinated me so much, that I have got the inspiration to create this figure.
Enjoy
Bennain
-
hey bennain,
Sandakan(in formerly British-Borneo, i think) was probably 'popular' with 'off-shore pirates' during the seventies...(from neighbouring philippines/Indonesia)
but i didnt realise they are so 'famous' that the germans made a TV series
your hands must have got serious cramps painting those lines :P
the Tiger of Malaya was given to a ruthless Japanese General occuppying what was call 'Malaya' during WWII
so this Tiger of Malaysia is a fiction...he must have been a Robin Hood in your young eyes then
thanks for sharing your fantasy! (was he the good pirate?)
-
 i remember that series! great custom bennain! i like ur eye for detail! :D
-
Hi Cheng,
this series was produced in italia. The Actor Kabir Bedi played the figure from "Sandokan".

"Sandokan" looks like a great series! Unfortunatey, we didn't get to see it in the US ...

Unfortunatey the DVD by Amazon is only in german and italian language, no englisch synchronisation.

So! Last weekend a good friend has visited me. He saw some of my figures and customs and said to me, that he wants to make also a custom. I gave him some legs, arms, a head and a body and also some equipment. This is the result of my friend:
-
your firend's creation is perfect...i bet he was bitten by the playmo bug and we hope he will join us soon ;D
-
Well, I try to convert him! Because he is as crazy as me, so the chances are good! At the moment he works on another custom. ;D ;)
-
really nice custom, he really does look like indy ;D
-
A new figure from me.
-
So, I've created an enemy for the romans. The picture shows a persian bowman. For the moment I'm a little unhappy with this custom, because the bow is not really good. I look for these from special 4527.

Hello,
and a happy new year.
This Thread German Camel Corps (https://gardenwargaming.playclicks.com/forum/index.php?topic=1130.0) gives me the inspiration for a custom.
I tried to make it only with orignial parts and I've made pics from different versions.
Regards
Bennain
-
The second Version.
-
Great customs, Bennain!
I think the second version looks more German. And, the first version looks slightly more English.
All the best,
Richard
-
hey Bennian!
nice custom and setting!!
I prefer the grey 'Australian' bush hat too!
his brown suspenders and boots are great choices :)
-
The cacti look deliciously American.
Have you ever played Paintball in San Angelo, Texas?
Let's just say: don't dive for cover....
-
Have you ever played Paintball in San Angelo, Texas?
No, I haven't!
-
After a long time without creating any figures, I 've found yesterday the pleasurable occasion to customize.
I created a Samurai, which was inspired by the new special which will come in february next year.
-
It competes with the upcoming special. I like his name and am off to look for my kurosawa collection.
