Oh my goodness! That is a fantastic find David - and you had this tin just laying around, untouched for who knows how long? It makes me wonder what other treasures are at the Hamer home. (Do you think they'll let me carry a shovel on a trans-atlantic flight? :D)

I like very much your soldiers

Splendid post Warrensde!
I really like your avatar! Would you please tell us about it? In fact, I think that everyone would like to see the entire figure ...
Your 'tin' (as always) is full of great surprises! Great presentation!
Hopefully we will see a lot more from the the Warrensde collection ... ;)
All the best,
Richard

Oh! you liked them! Me too  I used to have them arranged on a shelf, but the "dust collector" comments became to shrill, so I dropped them in the tin. There are a few more things there. I`ll have to look. :D
My Avatar represents an Officer of the 2nd Nassau Regiment. One of the little Confederation of the Rhein armies during the napoleonic wars..
They fought in Spain with the French and at Waterloo against the French.
Nassau was a small Dukedom (or similar) in Germany, it no longer exists... The Prussians grabbed it.

I don't have words, is wonderfull, congratulations

I don't know if my heart can take it! :D
And that is a magnificent custom for you avatar! What a wonderful time that was, when every soldier looked like they were in their dress uniform all the time!
-
I love the "British Square" pic! It would make a great desktop wallpaper (hint, hint ).

You've probably seen it already, Henry, but for the benefit of those who haven't seen the rest of the Nassauer, there's more pics in De Warrens' World (http://www.justforklicks.com/j4k/gallery/warrensde/nassau/nassau01.html) at JustForKl!cks. :)

The Prussians were very easy to make.
They are just figures from:

and
