hi everyone, im newly registered but have been following the events on this board for almost a month now. i just got newly interested in playmobil after not having seen or been involved with it since i put the various boxes in my parents cellar more than 12 years ago.
well i got the fever for it again  all of a sudden while on ebay  i had the urge to look for playmobil and found myself bidding on a few auctions.
at first i thought im crazy but was very relieved when i foudn verious sites on the net with ppl who r my age or older and share my newly found enthusiasm :D
i just want to say im happy im not alone and its a pleasure to be here.
it will take some time for me to get in to the customizing process, although i can hardly wait to start. seeing all the great creations i am truly stunned!
great work! well i guess i should end this post been typing too much to read alreay

Hi from Scotland and welcome to the forum! :)
It comes as a relief to many of us "older" people when we discover that we're not alone in our obsession with these little plastic people.
I hope you will have time to start customising soon. I look forward to seeing photos of your figures, customised or otherwise. 8)

Hello Flash,
Welcome! :D
-
welcome flash have fun in here!
-
thanx yet again guys :D
i have some noobish questions if u dont mind  and i guess this is the best place to ask or should i go to the general forum?
anyhow my questions r pretty basic.
1) what do u use to apply paint onto a klicky? a brush? and what kind? like how thick or thin? especially for those delicate works.
2) what paint do u use? i remember i tried using revell paint in my teens once with mixed results (also due to my noobishness)
3) since i live in germany it be really really really great if some german board members could give me a hint what german products to use for customization (e.g. brushes and paints).
thats it for now but be sure ill be back for more
id very much appreciate any further tips or tricks (basic stuff of course since i am sure there are soooooo many cool things to do to a klicky)
so pls enlighten me! ty a lot in advance already!
ur forever grateful flash :D

Personally I use Revell and thin brushes, though one also needs larger ones for p.ex. legs. Im using Revell colors and Im quite happy with them Well for customizing figures I can give u the link: http://www.playclicks.com/gardenwargaming/foro/viewtopic.php?t=171
Here u can see my try to customize American Civil War soldiers using the package 4628 - Nordstaatler available for 1,99 euro in the Feldhaus in the city :) . If u want to have further information add me on MSN and we can talk (I am from Düren  )

Hi, Flash ...
I just realized that the "Pirate Map" doesn't show you where the US Virgin Islands are. Sorry ... :(
If you click on the pirate flag above, it will bring up the map.
Find Puerto Rico (It's the island East of Hispaniola) ..
Above Puerto Rico find the lable for the city of "San Juan" ...
Directly beneath the "n" in Juan" is St. Thomas.
The little island almost connected to St.Thomas on the East (it's actually only three and a half miles away) is St.John.
And, the island directly above the "t' in the "St." of St. Kitts is St. Croix.
St. Thomas, St. John and St. Croix are the three major Islands in the US Virgin Islands (USVI). Just to the East of the USVI are the British Virgin Islands (BVI).
They are all equally as beautifull and all share a rich history of pirates and buccaneers!
All the best,
Richard
