Actually, it all started with this ship a few months ago. I had the idea to customize a 3550/3750 and I wanted to create my own sails... I couldn't find QuickFuse so I was looking for an alternative... I thought I found one: a kind of foil that was printable... I just got a new catalog with the Lionhead castle...
-
At that time I already had the color scheme in my head. First of all, all pieces got a white primer...
-
After that, the hull got a dark blue color and the deck was painted light blue...
-
And I needed some yellow :D Can you already image how it would look like
-
Here was my first encounter with the gold paint... Since then it changed my life 8) B.T.W. the trick with the polystyrene is NOT advisable... In contrast to myself it doesn't like the gold paint at all  As you can see I used everything to hitch the 'paintings'... Even my wife's bike wasn't safe
-
So, in an early stage it looked something like this... To be honest: I didn't like it very much, but I knew that the sails (hopefully) would do the trick. This first project needed to succeed ;D
-
Now, you waited long enough: enjoy the final result...
The Lionheart
-
The QuickFuse sails... As you can see, the color design changed as against the first design. I prefer this one. They even more look like the flags of the Large King's castle...
-
The ship was ready, but there were no crew members yet... Since I don't have the Large King's castle and the crew should fit with the ship, I bought the crew immediately from DS... In the meantime I builded the HMS Victory (https://gardenwargaming.playclicks.com/forum/index.php?topic=144.0)... Finally they found their way to the Lionheart :D
-
The interior... I also made custom paintings from pictures I like... If you find your painting on my wall, sorry, but I liked it so much
-
And like every ship, also this one has a dark side 8)
-
That's all folks !!!
B.T.W. I especially like this ship because my horoscope is Lion :o

Stunning!
This one is terrific!!!!
All these tiny parts you did for the ship (i.e. the painting in the captains cabin etc.). Lovely!
And you posted some pics of the working process as well. Indeed a very good idea!
Thank's for sharing the pics.

Wow - each of your ships is magnificent, but seeing all three of them - wow! Very nicely done. The color combination you chose is very bright, but it works well with the theme. That's what I think I like the most about your ships is that each ship has a theme and you pick colors and sail designs to complement that theme. I try to do the same with mine, which is probably why I like yours so much.

Fantastic transformation,
The result is fine :D

Yes, Capitan Enrique is my Spanish alias. Having many names helps to keep the authorities away! :D
And not student, my friend, but partner in crime! I am eager to see more. I have two or three ships in the works myself (I just cannot find the time to get them finished! :() and am getting inspired to finish them by seeing yours, Rotrock's, EsDoc's and everyone else's magnificent creations!

The colour scheme is bold, imaginative and dramatic! And, it's beautiful!
