Finally I managed to take pictures of the HMS Victory and it's crew...
-
A front view... The sails are made with QuickFuse (as explained by Capt'n Henry). It gives a very nice result, but is axpensive as hell (6 EUR/paper) and you need 6 of them (front/back)...
-
From the top... I especially like the gold paint. I use it for all my ships...
-
Inside the cabin...
-
The Admirality... (forgive me my naval ignorance; i'm still learning from wikipedia :D )
-
Other crew members... Actually it's more a kind of Admiral's guards... The guys with the rifles :D
-
These are supposed to be sailors... They also have a sword and a gun to defend themselves against pirates like Deadeye rick and his Punisher
-
Some other pictures :P The guy with the eyepatch is the young bad dog that wants to make his career in the navy and want to become Admiral one day. You know these kind of guys from the movies. They are always in the neighbourhood of a beautiful woman, but she already lost her hart to the true hero 8)
-
Making of 'Departure to the Caribean'...
As you can the see, the crew was different at that time but since I saw some nice armies on this board I wanted to have my own 'custom' army :-*
-
These are some pictures without the nice background. B.T.W. the background picture was taken during my trip to Crete. It's somewhere in the neighbourhood of Panormos

but she already lost her hart to the true hero
And that would be Deadeye Dick, I assume? :D
Very nice pictures, and the ship is beautiful. I am glad you were able to find the Quickfuse for the sails. It IS expensive, but I think it gives great results.

Very nice !!! Actually I'm also looking for a nice location to make som shots in nature with real water. The problem is that I'm afraid that the water is not that good for my painting :(
Therefore the Punisher (https://gardenwargaming.playclicks.com/forum/index.php?topic=145.0) is excellent because the minimum of painting :D
-
I too would love to find a nice place to take pictues in real water. All my painted ships get a coat of clear satin to protect them, so I think they would be fine in the water, but I need to test them first...

That sounds like a good idea  Let me know how the test went...

I want a pool :P

A wonderful ship! Especially I like the gold parts. This must look terrific when you take the ship outside at sunshine :)
BTW great pool-pics!! I wish I had one! I surely wouldn't be found in the army department but in the navy dept. when I had a pool like that ;)

And then we would be denied your wonderful Napoleonic soldiers! (And my pirates wouldn't stand a chance against your navy! ;))

I once had the idea of posting a collection of pictures which influenced my early collector's period (I started in 2005) the most. Unfortunately, this was thwarted by the copyright of these pics... I can't ask all owners for permission - since I do not know in most cases who the owner is....
But DD, you initial pics of the two ships would be among the collection!!
-
The Punisher with the skeleton in the cage is among the memories of my first discoveries of further pm enthusiasts in the www.
