This stuff isn't too exciting. Justin and I are trying to motivate each other to create Roman scenes (and not be intimidated by Blader's great scenes!)
This is a Germanic farm village on the Rhine near a Roman river port.
The only grounds I have for calling this a German village instead of a Gaulish village is the company soldiers, mixed foot and horse, marching toward the port from the southwest of the scene. The men on foot were squires / juniors to the mounted men and ran with the horses (obviously the horses didn't run at a full gallop). Footmen with knives could devastate cavalry, so these squires complimented the mounted soldiers (sort of like how we send infantry to protect armor / tanks in street fighting).

Hello, Timmy ... (http://www.gardenwargamer.com/images/wave.gif)
How have you been?
Thanks for sharing your Roman/Germanic village with us. Looks like you had a good time setting it up. I see lots of stuff that I should have bought when I had the chance. One thing in particular is the "Jack and Jill" hill.
Good use of Playmobil to create a very nice scene!
Hope to see more of you here at GW-PC.
All the best,
Richard

That's a great scene with some nice details! I like the German soldiers in the forest. Will they be ambushing the Praetorian patrol?
