Sylvia, sorry to disillusion you, but as a long time student of military history, I have to say Drummer Boys are seldom "sweet".

this is going to be interesting....yes Dan, tell us why?
or i might continue to fix sweet blone curls on my speckled-faced drummer boys  ;D

lol id luv to see that cheng ;) although dan... in most films / series the drummer boys do tend to look boyishly charming  ;D
I left my love a letter in the hollar of a tree.
I told her she would find me in the U.S. Cavalry.
High, yo, down they go, there's no such word as can't.
We'll ride clean down to hell and back for Ulysses Simpson Grant.

Hi all and thanks for the info on the rolled up sleves
will have to make at least one of my figures have them.

As for the drummer boys they were probably an early equivalent of what we call hoodies today

Regards
Craig

What are your legs? Steel springs. What are they gonna do? Haul me down the track. How fast can ya run? Fast as a leopard. How fast are ya gonna run? Fast as a leopard! Lets see ya do it!

Oh, I love that schoolhouse.  I would use it for a church in my wild west town.  Nice scene and great imagery.  I've seen the old schoolhouse on Ebay several times, but the price goes up very quickly.
