Btw, why did you spraypaint the caps? The sight of people in white overcoats but with 'normal' grey caps like those two in the picture above seems more 'familiar' to me. But maybe it's only those b/w pictures and I absolutely do not claim to be an expert on that matter.  At least it could save you one or two sparying sessions while adding some variety if you use the unaltered parts.

thats the best question i can expect from a 'historically accurate' customiser...
as you might know, I'm against wasting old rare parts (unless I have a dozen, maybe I do ) and i'm against removal of playmo prints and I'm against spraying large areas...so why I sprayed it white?

to be different (i used these grey ones on my afrika korps so was itching to have something different) if I ever find enough energy to custom a second steel helmet from those old knight helmets, I'll spray it white for one of these mountaineers

while most if not all retained their field-grey caps covering with their white hoods...I did check and found a few illustrations with white caps (without doubting nor verifying their authencity...any WWII experts here?) I'm hope I dont have to remove the white spray

Considering there is nothing analogous to a machinegun in Playmobil it’s an excellent job.
It’s a pity it’s only “excellent.”

thanks for the link Micheal, and the info regarding the cotton cover...I knew they had covers for the stahlhelm but never thought even their soft peaked caps had covers too...maybe they should have just made them reversibles, white inside during summer

and the holder is just our usual oar holder, hope there's a better choice/way to hold those skis

The only parts that aren’t PM is the felt (for snow) and the machinegun (because PM won’t do that, a policy I’ve always hated). Considering this, that’s damned good.
