I'm quite proud of these...
« on: January 03, 2011, 05:44:37 AM »
Heat treated items! :o
Yup, so I caved... but only for these two very special items. ;)

First, I have a fusion of a Roman sword, and a Medieval one...
Forming a "Viking Broadsword" or Roman Centurion longsword. :)
If I could perfect my fusion techniques,
I think I would like to punch out a few more of these.... ;D

Here I have my other heat treated item, my field cannon! 8)
At first glance it looks like your original old-timey cannon...

But upon closer inspection you'll find that it is actually
an old cannon barrel mounted on newer parts!
(Necessity is the mother of invention.)

It is an old cannon barrel that I have fit into a newer version cannon "holster"
I had to heat up the sides to fit it in, but it now is snug,
and I can still rotate it. :)
I put the cannon with holster on top of a barbarian arrow shield stand
And switched out the wheels of the stand for larger ones.

I hope you like them both. :)

These look great, WarriorOfToys, and you should be proud of them. :)  That sword looks very much like a spatha that the cavalry would use.

Ok, no more heat treating...
Time for some more reversible customizing. :)

My only French army man from the Napoleonic Wars. ::) :P
I think he is an "Old Guard" line infantryman.

Here he is:

I used hot glue to glue the feather on, and the bayonet.
(Since I didn't have the proper bayonet.)

I really like how the bayonet looks on the rifle though,
so I may be using the same system for my light infantrymen when they come out. ;)

You may be proud with good reason. Really a few nice inventions here.

And it is the first time I see an useful employment for that double axe.

Thank you. :)
Yeah, the double axe can get fairly annoying at times... ::)

Hello guys,
I have two more. One if a really old one,
I think it is the second custom I ever did.
I painted the whole body, and I like the way it turned out.
I just don't know where he is from. ???
Like, what time period, and what sort of unit.
I was thinking French.

And the other if a fairly new one.
It shouldn't really belong here, since this thread is more for my "hard customs".
But it poses the same questions as my last custom.
When and where, can anyone take a guess? :)

I hope you like them. :D
