Greetings From Brooklyn NYC.
« on: September 17, 2010, 10:03:06 PM »

I am an avid Wargamer and toy Collector.  Wargaming is how I was introduced to Playmobil over 20 years ago.  I am part of a group that Wargames with 54mm Toy Soldiers.  For Scenery and Buildings we always used Playmobil, at the time we ingnored the figures.  The first version Castle system, Pirate Ship, and Western Town were our all time favorites to build our battlegrounds.  In the early 90's when the Knights and Pirates changed and became more detailed I really took notice of the figure themselves.  My wife is the one one bought me some of those Pirate and Knight sets.  It also got me thinking about using them in wargames.  I have been in love with the little soldiers ever since!   I now have a large collection of Playmobil.  Thanks to my wargaming pals and my wife!

Hello David,
Great to have you! :)

So you and your Wargaming buddies battle with Playmobil now?
That sounds awesome!
I am trying to get something like that started down where I live,
But I can't find too many Wargaming groups. :-\

Can't wait to get to know you better,
See you around! ;D

Welcome to the forum, David!  I like to wargame too...with myself :-[  Still, I agree that the new detailed Playmobil klickies are much better than the old ones.
