1900 Peking-Russian Sailors
« on: August 21, 2010, 05:17:00 AM »
finished finally as mentioned...not to repeat the photos I posted in my reply to micheal/Henri-M: https://gardenwargaming.playclicks.com/forum/index.php?topic=1431.0 ;)

notice how long their cap tails(?) reach down to(in the real photos)....midway down their torso! (but I made mine a little shorter to stay more playmo-like...or so i thought ;D )

Very cool!
I don't think it would have looked very good on Playmobil if they reached down their whole torso.
These look great!

Excellent work. Did you ever consider to put the black chimney sweep torso on one of them as black winter dress? I'd really like to see that. ;)

It says it is darkgreen, but you get the idea. Which navy would clad their sailors in shades of green? A few years later they used black and are using it since then. I am still searching ...

WOW! thanks Micheal!  ;)
dark green?! sometimes we see a kliky colour which we think is of no use for GW but never say never?  :D well....I do have 'useless' orange torsos, maybe someday...heh!

the top picture shows a mini-shade on the white sailor cap...hmmm
the one that I might make someday is this second guy from the left  :)
any idea how their inner shirt changed from blue to red with stripes?
anyone can decipher the descriptions below?

Before you start spraying let's say it is very dark green, so black can be used too.

I know only the blue stripes
From left:
Matrose Sommeruniform = sailor, summer dress
Matrose Wachuniform  = sailor, service dress
Matrose der Garde Equip, Landungsanzug = sailor of the guard xxx?, shore dress

:D i wasn't thinking of spraying...too expensive to buy a can of dark green just for a few klickies...anyway I've not sprayed a full torsos nor a full leg...its too sinfull  :P

I thought those 'flowery' alphabets were in Russian  :o anyway its too tiny even for me to try to read the alphabets   :-[ thanks a lot for these pictures & information Micheal!

I just noticed it: Is it possible that you sanded a captians cap?  :o It looked so pm to me that I realized it only now. Probably that was what you intended.

And do those trousers have already a dark olive color?

And do those trousers have already a dark olive color? ja..from the safari set  ;D...but i couldnt bring myself to sand down the pockets  :-[ btw the photography is so poor that i can hardly tell whether its black or dark green ;) you must know the klickies by heart  :D
