Boston Light Artillery (Cook's Battery), Massachusetts, 1861

Hello, Gaius ...

You didn't say if you wanted artillery uniforms of the North or the South. But, if you click on the image above you should see both.

Have fun and all the best,
Richard

sorry to kick up an old thread, but i've not visited this section before..

hey Richard,
i've never been good with history or dates but your link refers to ACW;

you posted:"Boston Light Artillery (Cook's Battery), Massachusetts, 1861"

while Gaius' question was 'war of session'.....2 decades later

but i was surprised when he replied as though you were both talking about the same war or period  :?:

and also, there's war of succession....

Good catch, Cheng ... ;)

I'm sure that GaiusIulius meant to type a "6" and not an "8" ... :)

BTW ... The American Civil War (ACW) was also known as the "War of Secession" ("Sucession and Succession" are sometimes erroneously used) and the correct dates are 1861 to 1865.

However, i would like to remind everyone that although it is very nice to know your history, this is Playmobil! And, Playmobil is for fun! And, ALL nitpickers and pedants WILL be drummed out of the corps and possibly even drawn and quartered or maybe keel-hauled!

SO THE ORDER OF THE DAY IS TO HAVE FUN AND NOT TO WORRY ABOUT THE DETAILS! ... :)

All the best,
Richard

well said richard :D and ty for the info!
I left my love a letter in the hollar of a tree.
I told her she would find me in the U.S. Cavalry.
High, yo, down they go, there's no such word as can't.
We'll ride clean down to hell and back for Ulysses Simpson Grant.

Hello, GaiusIulius ...

Yes, but "War of Sucession" is NOT correct!  The American Civil War (ACW) was the "War of Secession" ...

And, I am sure that Cheng will not hesitate to correct any of us if he thinks that we are wrong ... But, that's good! ...  ;)

All the best,
Richard

 right, always mind ur Rechtschreibung!!! :P

@cheng - im not sure about american english spelling, but as far as i know sucession does not exist in english only succession (richard correct me if im wrong)
@ gaius - which translates to:
reihenfolge oder erbfolge, kann aber auch abfolge oder ablauf bedeuten - hoffe das erklärts
