Kuerassierhelm
« on: January 01, 2008, 08:06:01 PM »
Hy all and sorry i don't know the right english term for Kürassier :-[

I try to build a  Kuerassierhelm.

Simply to use a Roman helmet it's not so beautiful in my opinion, because he does not fit to the time period.

As basic I use a Roman helmet for the attempt . at first i cutted the ear-parts and the i tryed to fit another helmet part to the roman.

we'll see...

I left my love a letter in the hollar of a tree.
I told her she would find me in the U.S. Cavalry.
High, yo, down they go, there's no such word as can't.
We'll ride clean down to hell and back for Ulysses Simpson Grant.

The Greek Light Infantry in the British Army of the 1800s wore something similar - I can feel a conversion coming on.........
