Nice. The only thing I don’t like is the rifle. It may be accurate, but I (personally) hate that style…

Cheng, I love your East Asian Expedtionary Corps ... And, unlike Andy, I really like the "Mauser" rifle and I think that it looks perfect for the period.

thanks Richard & Baden!  ;)

and Andy R, we dont have much choice either  :P the old musket and the cowboy's rifle are worse  ;D and the scoped rifle is too new   ::) so you must share with us why you personally dont like this kind of rifles which I think (nothing to do with appropriateness here) is the most intricately painted PM rifle altho the other cowboy rifle with printed silver patterns is also one of my favourites....very useful for so many themes  :)

and I realised another error  :P the folded side of their hat should be on their right..so now's corrected  8)

Hi cheng,

Very nice customs! I have to agree that the 'Mauser'-style rifles do fit quite well with these figures.

Given that you have hats with turn-ups, might some World War I ANZAC (Australia & New Zealand Army Corps) troops appear? Just a thought...

Cheers,

AndrewL

thanks Andrew...
I'm trying my best not to touch later war themes(i did do Afrika Korps and still dream of making the 8th army in north africa  :P )

WW1 should be a lesser compromise for me actually  :P
(those picklehaubes for WW1 germans etc...I'm really trying my best not to)

AMAZING work as always. :)
I do like these rifles... But they don't work too well for playing with.
The ones I had were always slipping out of the klickies hands! :-\

anybody with a solution for this? I have the same problem sometimes...I dont like the thought of having loose hands either  :P
I always wondered why PM didnt mould the rifle in such a way that kids could make them hold it in several ways...there's no need for total accuraccy here   ???

...maybe I'm wrong...experts please?

They look better than the real ones.

To the rifle (without claimig to be an expert):
It is the most detailed pm part that comes to my mind. Hard to handle (for klicky hands), very delicate and a bit out of the usual time span that is covered by pm, too. Rather a foreign body.

But it fits with your 'modern' customs nicely.
