New Monks on the block
« on: October 16, 2008, 01:35:44 AM »
Getting Monks is harder every day, so I jut make them myself. The hardest part is the head, I take a normal one and fill it with some milliput, give it the shape with some water and later with sandpaper when it gets hard. Then I cut the upper part of the hairdos and attach it to the heads et voilà! It´s important to notice I get clean the slot where the hairpiece "snaps" into the head, so I can replace it with another one whe I wish to change the color  ;)

Some Monks

I had some extra Dino expedition figures for the arms and chest. I added the neck piece from a viking and the snowboard specialand and painted a little here and there. I had some resin made skirts, added some belly and tried to match the color  :P Flash doesn´t make them match well  ::)

Funny part is you can use any hairpiece you like and add some beard, goggles or any other piece you like if you left the place it. Here you have an evil Monk (black meaning evil, isn´t it?)

Last pic details heads  alone. First on the right shows one sun tanned full covered, probably for some Indian with a Mohawk in the near future. Near it, another one painted and read to become complete and spread villainy over other klikies. In the center, a happy bald one painted and ready. Second on the ledt, you can save the aprt we previously cut to make a skin one wear some helmet or whatever. And finnally, our own evil Rasputin  ;D

Thanks for looking

OMG Clickezno....
I'm overwhelmed, honestly !!!
too many too fast...  :P

I've got too many questions...
but allow me to say I'm so envious of your ability to make bald heads..

if I have your skills in that respect...I will have those half-shaven chinese heads (Qing era) and 'red-sea' styled bald japanese samurai soldiers made long ago....I always say the hats(in this case the hair) is the most convincing part for our customs.

allow me just one question....how do you make those eyes  of your crying nun etc? really very PM looking  ;D

all-in, VERY VERY GOOD!! my humble respect!!

Thanks Cheng. Be free to ask anything you want and I´ll try to answer it. I hace to try some Samuray one day, so feel free to show me any pics you think with hair or armour styles that could help.

The crying Nun was taking care of a wounded soldier in the Spanish-French War scene we made last March, I can´t find the pics but I know I have them somewhere

....The crying Nun .....we made last March....

'red-sea center parting' hairstyle;
I am confident you can make these bald heads look good but sticking PM hair on both sides plus the white head band will be a challenge for us nevertheless  ;D

so was the nun's eyes and tears handpainted?

Attaching playmobil hair like those could be done, although I´ll have to cut it and attach a ponytail. It can´t be seen properly, but the manservant has the long part of a hairpiece attached to the back of his head. Mr. T. instead has a full wig and mohawk milliput made.

Give some time ;) ;D I´ld love to see more asian temed klikies like the ones you posted in other threads

Oh they are good.  An Iroquois/Mohawk Indian would look good in a Seven Years War game.
