u seem to be very interested in that theme cheng, where does that come from? Very colorful and nice boxers (those hats are lion heads arent they?  ;))

These are fantastic, Cheng!

From what I read, the tiger warriors assembled ahead of the imperial army and put on a show (beating shields and drums) to intimidate the opposing enemy.  Armies from southeast Asia, intimidated by the reputation of the imperial army frequently routed before the battle even began.

The tactic didn't work so well against Europeans...

very interesting bit, Tim!

and Gai, the boxer uprising is interesting to me both from a historical point of view and also that it means i can also put together many other uniforms on the same shelf  ;D ...(i just finished making 4 new japanese klickies and will post it soon)
