Hello Jim,
Usually, the Garden Wargaming forum is primarily for military history.

TX, Richard. I'll remember that. I have lots of Knights that I haven't photographed for awhile, so I'll start thinking about them for next time.  8)

Hello Jim,
Usually, the Garden Wargaming forum is primarily for military history.
However, your Birth of Venus might be the exception.
Your beautiful display is very well done and compliments the painting created by Renaissance artist Sandro Botticelli.
Even more important is the military history reference to Julius Caesar. Historians tell us that Caesar adored and worshipped Venus. Some scholars suggest that Julius may have even gone around telling everyone that he was directly descended from the Roman Goddess Venus, who was the equivalent of the Greek Aphrodite. This may have been the reason that Julius' buddy Brutus might have thought that Julius had gone bonkers. And, no longer was fit to rule the Roman Empire.
Regardless, your display on the banks of Tappan Lake is quite splendid. And, a credit to the original which is probably very familiar to Adobe software fans everywhere as Adobe has used the Boticelli painting almost as a secondary logo for years.
Jim, thanks for sharing,
Richard

King Neptune & Queen Venus at Tappan Lake, Ohio. The Tappan Lake District is located near me in Tuscarawas County & includes many lakes, bays, & a large park.

In the past week, I've gotten both a King Neptune & a mermaid, dubbed Venus. I thought of this picture as soon as I saw her. :) Photographed at Tappan Lake, Ohio.

Jim,
Great display!
Hadn't even thought about using the Bavarian tavern as a medieval building.
It looks perfect in your Biergarten scene.
Thanks for sharing.

Hello, Jim, and welcome to GW-PC!
Have a look around and don't hesitate to ask questions.
As hauden_lukas said over at Playmofriends, this is NOT a forum for people who like war.
The members here enjoy history!
Personally, I like a good parade with colorful uniforms and the stirring music of marching bands. The more pomp and circumstance the better!
Looks like you are a fan of the medieval period.
My favorite Playmobil set from the late medieval period is the "Nürnberg Baggage Train".
Hope you have lots of fun here,
Richard

Edit: BTW, that Nürnberg Baggage Train is 3660-A.
