Title: some shots...
Post by: GaiusIulius on January 26, 2007, 08:28:15 pm
Finally I found some time again to take some pictures of my army and (growing) navy, hope u like them :). I also added some shots of my main fort, which is a mixture of all kind of soldiers u can imagine, so theres no real historical correctness in there (I dont car lol). And finally I found a simple program, which allows me to rezise my photos in a way that u can see them better.
For those who are interested in facts and figures:

   - the fort is about 4 meters long and 1,5 meters from the wall to the end of the room wide
   - it contains about 350 soldiers and 100 horses (I didnt count them)
   - we have 10 canons to defend the fort

So now I wrote too much, here they are:

1) a picture of a pirate ship with 5 crew members, actually more a trade ship, cuz one canon isnt much for a war ship  ;D:

2) some shots of the fort:

hey Gai,
i dont know how you do it but those pictures are great!!

and i also dont know how you put such a clear big picture of your new Romans in your signature area....can you do that for my samurais for me? (not too big though...not to show off but something i can identify with)

and i like your Romans too....how about posting some pictures of them? I like the way they carry their shields....was it your own idea? and the horn, was it customised?

there r still some more pictures to come, but I have to sort out the best ones first  :)
@pastifi: I think u mean the 'helmbush' (is it the right English term?)  of the one indian who is standing with some other meights at the horses? He is from set number 3873 -> http://collectobil.com/catalogue/items/3873.htm
Maybe u wonder if u could use his 'helmbush' for the Romans or some Greeks I have to say u that it doesnt fit with their helmets. it may fit if u custom the helmet a bit, but I didnt try it up to now.

hey Gai..
i've already used two of those native american 'helmbushes' for my greek helmets...they have to be fitted in with some cutting and some glue.....really really something against my rules and hated to do  :P
