Just a few days ago I put a DS order for a few dozend of those hats for my upcoming Auldearn theme (which is still pending). Thank you for all the ceaseless inspiration.

From time to time I turn over one box with figures from one topic to check whether I still like the creations. Here is my redesign of the clansmen:

Wow, Ralf, you've created almost one hundred custom Scots!  With around 100 of the new British soldiers and officers, some horses and cannon, you could do a nice reenactment of the battle. :)

That would be awesome, Ralf!  Your new Scots, as usual, look superb! :)

Geobra hasnt produced any medieval Scots but Ralf has convinced us that maybe its not necessary to wait. I think Geobra doesnt need to produce this theme, just give us a tartan-wearing Scot Fi?ure ;D
Title: Re: Culloden
Post by: henry_martini on September 19, 2012, 05:56:33 pm
Due to the intel about fi?ures4 and 5 that is now spreading one can assume that these sets are 'ready' about one year before their actual release. This would mean that it will still take about one year before we will hear again from them (and yet another year before they become available :-P)

As long as specialist goes on with this theme we will at least be entertained with regard to highlanders in the most inspiring way.

That would be awesome. But I think it would be mostly easy now with shorter skirts available…

No kilts in sight, so we have to stick to trousers.

¿Could you improviᵶe kilts from the short tunics on the new gladiators?

¿How can you have Scots, and no kilts?
Seriously, though, perhaps take a standard dress (just pulling out of my anyhow, Part #3Ø 14 461Ø (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showpart.pl?partnum=30-14-4610)), trim it down, then insert appropriate legs (again from my anyhow, Part #3Ø ØØ 59ØØ (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showpart.pl?partnum=30-00-5900)). Grind off the posts that attach to the inner clip, then drill a hole of the appropriate siᵶe through both and insert a dowel of the appropriate siᵶe… Not perfect but far better than what currently exists…

looking and admiring your these photos, I was about to conclude that 'I like the last one best', then I scroll up again....OMG...I can't justify claim which one is the best because Ralf, you keep making them 'bester and bester'  :) ;) :) ;) :) and so were the older ones...A printed color catalog of all your these beautiful playmo-military customs will be fantastic!

Ralf,
When you said that "Culloden" was one of your favorites, I had no idea that you had amassed such a fantastic collection of magnificent customs. Bravo!
Thanks once again for sharing your imagination and creativity with all of us here at GW-PC!
All the best my friend and hope that you have a great weekend,
Richard

Culloden is a very interesting topic and Ralph has captured the (Playmobil)spirit so well here. Love the ground too and the units - as their details - are simply breathtaking!
