Hi to all AWC lovers
The batteries within the Charlston habor begin to shell the Union Fort Sumpter.
President Lincoln's call for 75,000 volonteers to struck down the rebellion by force is responded by the southern states in mobilizing the local militia to build a defensive force, to protect the home land from invading.
Everywhere, the cry for WAR!!
Last have a secret look to both sides progress in mobilizing their forces.
First we spy out the northern folks, as they form their infantry units

More pics of northern army.
You see the back yard of War department, building up batteries of light field guns.
-
And what are the southern folks doing?
-
After search for an ammunition caisson, I have to create my own ones.
-
And what about artillery support cars and a field forge.
-
i like especially the artillery support train. how did you build the wagon?
-
I think the wagon is from the old sheppard set. Cool idea.

Artillery support caisson
Hi Henry_Martini and Leblanc II
Yes you are right, I have modified the old shepard car.
They fit perfect to the normal army caissons. Only thing to do, is to shorten the drawbar und to fix an "eye" for the caisson coupling. That's it. Very easy.
I have tried the same with the new car with the red canvas cover. I don't know from which set these car actually come from, but I liked them more.
See you
