I started a series on what I am going to use as an organization for Napoleonic troops.  It is based on actual OOB's but more of a 1:10 in number of Klickys needed.

Have you looked at the rules in a book called "Charge - or how to play wargames" by Peter Young & (can't remember his first name) Lawford?

They have 2 types of game - simple and advanced.  Think the "simple" may be a good starting point.
