Title: my brand new avatar!

well i am a fan of the playmobil western theme - my actual interest are the years after the acw (1865) til the 1880's, but as a kid i always wanted to have confederates, which unfortunately came out oh so late...
however i have seen so many great playmobil acw armies here that i shall not endeavour to go down that road but i still couldnt hold back and do a very very slight customazation.
this is the standard yankee special with the confederate cuffs, collar, sideburns and canteen. i painted an infantry badge on the cap which by now i am sure is not historically accurate, but i did this figure when i just started getting interested in playmobil again last year - learnt a lot by then thanx to all of u. well i finally got around to take a picture!  :shock:
i know a long story  :lol: well here is the picture, let me know what u think of my very first diffident try, thanx in advance :D

He looks really nice - neat paintwork on the hat, and he has those all important 'mutton chop' sideburns that I love. (http://bestsmileys.com/love2/16.gif) :wink:

so u were the guy who bought all the yankee special in Cologne  :) I wnated to buy some for my new Napolenic cavalary but unfortunally they hadnt any ones left. Nice customand as far as Im informed it should be historically correct

your new Avatar looks very good. But what must I hear, you've bought all ACW-Special in Cologne!  :shock:  Please do not visit Aachen!  :D  Because I need also some specials vor my troops.

thanx guys!!!  :D hearing this positive feedback from some of the best out there (yes u r!) does give me the courage to move on.
@ krystal - yep he does look better in big :lol: and i must admit the "ladies effect" did influence me little when i put him together   :lol:  :wink:
@gaius iulius and bennain - no worries guys, i didnt by ALL of them  :lol: just two actually and then they were sold out! but i did get some of the last confederates in order to use those sideburns on other figures i must admit  :lol:

when i saw your new avatar...i thought you used a PC-printed sticker for your hat but your larger picture here shows you have steady hands and can do much more to add to our ACW customs!

i hope you will also start to get more interest in ACW, since its your new avatar now  :wink: and we can exchange more ideas..

just dont buy too many too  :lol:
