I have to agree with everyone, Cheng ...
Your customs are FABULOUS !!! ... (http://www.gardenwargamer.com/images/worshippy.gif)... (http://www.gardenwargamer.com/images/worshippy.gif)... (http://www.gardenwargamer.com/images/worshippy.gif)
Thanks for sharing and all the best,
Richard
BTW ... I used to spend a lot of time painting trouser stripes and hat bands until I realized that I could use pin-striping from the local automobile supply store. It comes in many different colours and widths. Here's a couple of examples ...
Yellow trouser stripe ...

White hat band ...

And, for what it's worth, Cheng ... Your lighting is a whole lot BETTER than mine !!! ... :)
And, your photos are a whole lot sharper and clearer than mine !!! :)
So, as Cap'n Henry said ... Stop being so hard on yourself !!! ... ;)

Wonderful! Very simple conversions, yet very elegant.
Cheng, I love them! Thanks for sharing them with us.

hey guys,
i'm really in awe when i see all your works
(so much so that i often stop posting my pictures when i 'compare' them to yours  )
....so all your compliments really surprises me...but i accept :P
yes Sir! Capt! Richard and all...
but do continue to tell me whenever i can improve mine(my customs are not 'final' like say, funky's or playmo ben's, so i can still improve/change them )
Richard, "local automobile supply store"
their stripes are larger and thicker...dont you have a hard time cutting them to narrower and identical widths?
how about using those stripes for model planes/radio control racing cars? (i dont mean the wet tranfers..those are not robust for our handling and recustomising  )
your mexican-looking man with white band...who is he? can you send me a link? i love those men-in-black! and his gold epaulettes really is striking !

Hello, Cheng ...
The "pin-striping" that's available in the US needs no trimming. We can get it in a variety of widths and colours. It comes in 1/16, 1/8, 1/4 inch widths and in red, yellow, white, blue colours. It is not thick at all. In fact when it's applied to an automobile you can barely feel the raised edge.

i was going to say Zorro-looking man because those hats reminds us of him  and wow...i like those black(lighting problem?) mexican soldiers(but i know they are in blue)
with those pin striping...my srpaying life would be easier...you see...i painfully trimmed and masked and spray-painted around the backs and sides of my french sailors...will take some shots this weekend
and of course it was immpossible for me to make the spacing of heir striped shirts identical
anyway i'll manage..if i cant, some day i'll ask you to buy and mail me some ok? (are the sheets too large for mail or do they come in rolls? 1/8 & 1/16 would be most useful and those basic colors, yellow, white, blue and red alone would be most useful for our customisers!

Hello, Cheng ...
The pin-striping comes in rolls like cello tape (most of us call it "scotch" tape here in the States) or like any adhesive tape.
If the Playmobil figure is very clean, the pin-striping adheres extremely well. Since they use it for automobiles, they don't want it to come off!
All the best,
Richard

Hey Cheng,
Here are some links to sites that sell the tape for you to check out and see what Richard is talking about...
Here (http://www.streetglo.net/streetglo_files/page0019.htm)
and here. (http://www.tapetechnologies.com/autocolorchart.html)

Thanks, Cap'n Henry ...
That's a much better variety than I can get at the local auto store !!! I think that I'll start ordering my tape on-line ... ;)
Thanks again and all the best my friend,
Richard

thanks Richard & Capt!
